It is one of the best digestible and most beneficial oils, it has a characteristic delicate aroma and taste. Poppy seeds are rich in vitamin E, magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, calcium up to 1500 mg in 100 g, and trace elements iron. Other active substances are mainly anthocyanin dyes, mucilage substances, resins, tannins and organic acids. Poppy seed oil is nutritionally rich in omega-3 and omega-6 unsaturated fatty acid content, especially linoleic acid, included in the group of essential unsaturated acids. Dogs, like other mammals, need linoleic acid. The lack of essential fatty acids can be manifested by a decrease in the body's defenses, changes in the skin, itching of the skin, fatigue, impaired growth and reproduction. We recommend using: in young and growing individuals, in dogs and cats fed raw BARF food, cooked and granulated food, in case of worsened dermatological manifestations of the skin, in performance-stressed dogs.
