 Dromy flax pomace is a dietetic healthy fodder for horses of all categories, containing a source of unsaturated fatty acids omega 3 and fiber and other substances beneficial to health. Soluble and insoluble fiber supports the passage of food while passing through the digestive tract. It participates in the elimination of hyperacidity, works in the intestines as an absorbent of harmful substances. Both types of fiber have a positive effect on the digestive system and its function. The most important component of flaxseed is α-linolenic acid (ALA), included in the group of essential omega-3 unsaturated fatty acids, without which the body cannot function. ALA is a source for the synthesis of EPA (eicosapentaenoic) acid, which has an anti-inflammatory and anti-catabolic effect, and DHA (docosahexaenoic) acid, which favorably affects the metabolism of nervous tissue. Both of these acids are part of cell membranes and tissue hormones. Omega 3 and 6 unsaturated fatty acids linoleic acid and linolenic acid, from which their biological effects are derived, ensure the structural integrity of cell membranes. Horses, like other mammals, need linoleic acid and α-linolenic acid as a starting material for the further formation of physiological fatty acids. A lack of essential fatty acids can be manifested by a decrease in the body's defenses, changes in the skin, fatigue, and impaired growth and reproduction. Polyphenols and lignans are plant substances with antiviral, fungicidal, bactericidal and immunostimulating properties. We recommend using: year-round, especially during shedding, in case of digestive disorders, during the spring and autumn months, for horses prone to muscle stiffness (tying-up), to support and detoxify the body, to regenerate the gastric mucosa, in colic conditions, to support the treatment of gastric ulcers, to stimulate the immune system, for seniors and convalescents, for impaired skin and coat quality in dermatological patients and quacks. Dosage per 100 kg of horse weight: for prevention: 20 - 30 g per day in the ration for improving condition: 30 - 50 g per day in the ration. Supplementary fodder for horses composition: flax pulp obtained from cold pressing of Linum Usitatissimum Linaceae seeds with a purity of 99.8%. The size of the granules is 6 mm.
